X-by-wire

This is technology that replaces the mechanical and hydraulic control systems (e.g. shafts, hoses, and fluids) with electronic control systems. Examples include brake-by-wire, shift­ by-wire, and steer-by-wire.

XML

XML is short for Extensible Markup Language. XML is a simplified subset of the Standard Generalized Markup Language (see SGML).

XML schema

An XML schema (XSD) describes the document structure of an XML document.
