Java

Java is a platform-independent programming language that was developed by SUN Micro systems. Its syntax is similar to C/C++. Java programs are compiled like common programs, but are not embedded in a specific processor or operating system, and are not "linked". For that reason, Java programs run on every platform, as long as a Java object code interpreter is installed. In ODX, Java jobs are used for the description of complex processes and are stored in separate files as Java code.

Job

A job can be either an EDIABAS job or a JAVA job.
