In-vehicle network

This is a generic term for an automotive data communication system that is used to connect electronic control units. The in-vehicle network can be either a simple linear bus or a com­plex network if gateways are employed. Examples include K-line, SAE 11850, high-speed CAN, low-speed CAN, single-wire CAN, LIN, FlexRay, MOST, and IDB 1394.
