Byteflight is a deterministic bus system for safety-relevant functions. It was developed by BMW in cooperation with Motorola, Elmos, and Infineon as part of the Intelligent Safety Integration System (ISIS). Byteflight was introduced in 2000 on the SAE congress in Detroit.
