This is a consortium founded as OSEK by German vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, software houses, and the University of Karlsruhe and merged with the French initiative VDX. OSEK/VDX specifies a real-time operating system (OSEK-OS) for ECUs (see www.osek-vdx.org).
