Kvaser U100P is a single channel CAN bus interface with a lightweight yet highly durable, IP67-rated housing that assures reliable protection against water and dust ingress. With Silent Mode and a high timestamp precision.

Kvaser U100P is the Precision version of Kvaser's U100 range of CAN to USB interfaces. Precision features comprise a high timestamp precision and MagiSync™. It is also suited to rugged applications in marine, industrial, construction, heavy-duty, agriculture, and automotive, including electric vehicle markets.

Major features

  • Quick and easy Plug-and-Play installation;
  • IP67 rated; robust housing made in 2K molding, TPE surface on top of glass fibre reinforced polyamide;
  • Replaceable cables and flexible connectors (to protect the unit’s warranty, cables must be replaced by Kvaser);
  • 20000 msg/s, each timestamped with a resolution of 1 µs.
  • Supports both 11-bit (CAN 2.0A) and 29-bit (CAN 2.0B active) identifiers;
  • Supports High Speed CAN (ISO 11898-2) up to 1 Mbit/s;
  • Supports CAN FD up to 8 Mbit/s;
  • Reinforced Galvanically isolated (design tested 5000 VAC rms applied for 60 seconds);
  • Silent Mode;
  • CAN transceiver: ADM3055E;
  • Error frame detection/generation;
  • Kvaser MagiSync™ provides automatic time synchronization between several PC-to-bus interfaces connected to the same PC.
  • Compatible with J1939, CANopen, NMEA 2000®, DeviceNet;
  • Support for SocketCAN;
  • Temperature range -40 °C - +85 °C.

  • Documentation, software and drivers can be downloaded for free at kvaser.com/download.
  • Kvaser CANLIB SDK is a free resource that includes everything you need to develop software for the Kvaser CAN interfaces. Includes full documentation and many program samples, written in C, C++, C#, Delphi, and Visual Basic.
  • All Kvaser CAN interface boards share a common software API. Programs written for one interface type will run without modifications on the other interface types!
  • J2534 Application Programming Interface available.
  • RP1210A Application Programming Interface available.
